He is a member of the Institute’s Governing Council.

He holds an MBA (Management) from Imo State University. He joined the Nigerian Police Force in 1986 and has attended many courses including, the Senior Command course at the police Staff College, Kuru, Jos, Executive Management Course at Administrative and Staff college of Nigeria.

DCP Okoye is currently retired.
